As our gas bills have increased i have decided to persevere with experiments on heating water from the composting waste.
i have now built a rotating drum (looks like a very large hamster wheel) it is placed in my back yard close to the bathroom area.
Today i have collected the old bedding from vauxhall city farm mixed with dung and urine, placed it in to the chamber.
i have recorded the starting temperature as 8c
i have not connected the plumbing as i want to monitor the temperature and see if i can achive 60c over the next 2 weeks.
i will try and place daily updates and photos to follow
